A big thank you to Diego Calderon from Colombia Birding who was good enough to take Roger McNeill and myself to the site of this exciting discovery.

On my last trip to Colombia in June 2017 I was very  fortunate to visit the site where a ‘Peruvian’ Antpitta had been discovered by Lena Peña Ramirez. As we suspected it does indeed appear to be a new species.
